Legend has it, G-reg, drummer and co-founder of Will Gail Dance?, designed the Latchkey for Life artwork during a sleepless night in his garage, the same spot where he once built DIY drum triggers out of spare VCR parts.
Growing up as a true latchkey kid in 1980s Bakersfield, G-reg found his rhythm in the hum of cathode rays and cassette tapes. The design came to him like a flashback, a digital-meets-analog tribute to every kid who microwaved their own dinners while dreaming about music videos on MTV. Much like the movie Weird Science, he turned nostalgia into creation, giving shape to the feeling of freedom, mischief, and self-made identity.
Wearing it isn’t just repping the band, it’s repping a generation that figured things out before Google existed.
